Isawa is at Oshu City in Iwate Prefecture that has a vast amount of rice fields. The city usually holds the Agriculture Festival for Crop every year on the second Saturday of the month of February. The aim of this festival is to pray for the wellness and rich harvest of the crops produced in that year. It is one of the splendid Japanese old cultures that need to be revived especially among young generations. The “straw” and “fire” will be the theme for this year’s festival. Some of the activities that will be held in this festival are, “Growing Rice in a Paddy Field”, “Making of Fukutake Mochi”, and “Fukutawara Lucky Draw”. This festival will end with enjoying the fireworks in the sky.
